Right Rev. Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, Primate

Bishop Vazgen Mirzakanyan (baptismal name Edward) was born on 21 July 1965 in the village of Artimed (formerly Atarbekyan) of the district of Echmiadzin.
He studied in the secondary school of the village starting in 1971, and graduated in 1982.
In 1982 he entered Gevorkian Theological Seminary at the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin.
From 1984 to 1986 he served in the Soviet Army.
On 7 May 1989 he was ordained to the diaconate by Archbishop Housik Santourian.
In 1990 he defended his final theses entitled “The Life and Literary Heritage of Archimandrite Grigor Skearatsi.”
On 28 July 1991 was ordained as a celibate priest by Archbishop Nerses Pozapalian in the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin. Upon his ordination he was asked to serve as a lecturer in the Gevorkian Theological Seminary at the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin while also working at the newly opened Centre of Christian Education and Preaching.
From 1993 to 1995 he served as the Executive Director of the Sunday School affiliated with the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin.
In 1995 by the order of the Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Karekin I, of Blessed Memory, he was appointed to serve as the director of the Centre of Christian Education and Preachingand successfully implemented the tasks entrusted to him. During his time of service, he published 26 books of spiritual content, textbooks on religion, and teacher’s manuals. In addition the “Christian Armenia” biweekly newspaper was established, as well as the radio broadcast of daily religious programs.
In 1996 he successfully defended his Doctoral thesis entitled “The Quotation Sources of the Books “Hartsmants”(“Book of Questions”) and “Voskeporik” by St. Gregory of Tatev.”
On 20 June 1996 he received the rank of Archimandrite (Vardapet) by His Holiness Karekin I.
In 1997- 99 with the support of the leader of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Artsakh His Eminence Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan he organized the retraining of teachers of Religion in the public schools of Artsakh and Kashatagh.
In 1999 he established the office of the “Ecumenical Information Center” in the Yerevan, sponsored by the WWC Armenian Round Table.
On 1 December 1999 by the order of the Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Karekin II he was appointed as the Vicar of the Diocese of Aragatsotn. During his two years in the Diocese, the Churches of Mughnu, Saghmaosavank, Byuragan, and Aparan were reopened, and the Mesrop Mashtots Diocesan Headquarters in Oshakan was re-organized and repaired.
From 2001 by regional authorities appointment and with the support of the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin in the secondary schools of Aragatsotn the subject of History of the Armenian Church was officially introduced. The “Aragatsotn” biweekly newspaper was published.
On 4 September 2002 by the order of the Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Karekin II he was appointed to serve as the Leader of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia.
Father Vazgen was consecrated as a Bishop on 23 July 2003, by the Catholicos of All Armenins, His Holiness Karekin II.
From 2003 to 2012 with the blessing and support of the Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Karekin II were repaired and sanctified St. Echmiadzin Church in Tbilisi, Surb Khach Church in Akhalkalaki, Surb Harutiun (Holy Resurrection) Church of Abul village in Javakhk, Surb Gevorg Church in Arakova village, Surb Harutyun Church in Balkho village, Surb Minas Church in Bejhano, Surb Astvatsatsin Church in Baralet village, Surb Harutyun Church in Bughashen village, Surb Mateos Church in Burnashet village, Surb Sargis Church in Diliska village, Surb Khach Church in Khando village, Surb Astvatsatsin Church in Big Samsar village, Surb Harutyun Church in Small Samsar village, Surb Hovhannes Karapet Church in Kartsakh village.

Surb Prkich Church of Shamshulda village in Tetri Tsqaro region. Chapel of the Holy Evangelists in Village Tsiteli Of Marneuli Region. Near the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi the residence of the Diocese was built and in the churchyard of St. Echmiadzin Church in Tbilisi the “Hayartun” Cultural Center was build, reviving cultural an educational life and making the youth more active. The reconstruction works at the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi and improvement of the area near the church have begun. Magazine “Norashen” was founded and valuable books of authors from“Vernatun” Union of Armenian Writers of Georgia were published.
The Armenian-language newspaper Ardzagank was founded, the website of the Diocese was created, and a video news report is made.
In 2015, on the basis of the application filed by the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia and thanks to the funds provided by the Foundation for Reconstruction of St. George Cathedral, the rest of Hovhannes Tumanyan’s house was purchased and entirely transferred to the Diocese. The part of the house (150sqm), which is now turned into a library was acquired by Levon Ananyan the former chairman of the Writers’ Union of Armenia thanks to the financial support provided by the Mayor of Gyumri, Vardan Ghukasyan. The house passed into the hands of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. The Armenian Diocese in Georgia will undertake the reconstruction and will provide the house with necessary equipment and furniture.
In July of 2015, the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan participated in the events dedicated to the centennial of the Armenian Genocide organized by the Armenian Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia and blessing of the Holy Chrism in Antelias, Lebanon.
In 2015, in the village of Big Aragyal, Ninotsminda, the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan presided over the service of reconsecration of a recently renovated Surb Khach (Holy Cross) Church. The Church (built in 1830) was renovated with its yard and premises. Arthur and Aida Isoyans donated the reconstruction expenses.
On October 31, 2015, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians presided over the service of reconsecration of St. Gevorg Cathedral of Tbilisi, the bishops were also participating in the service. Repair of damage due to time and boosting the Cathedral’s appeal to churchgoers of the Armenian Apostolic Church was the aim of the reconstruction project launched in September 2012. It was initiated by IDeA Foundation, under the guidance of the devoted son of his nation, famous benefactor Ruben Vardanyan. His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians blessed the initiative of the reconstruction of St. Gevorg Cathedral, the Georgian authorities supported the entire project. Bishop’s residence, yard and wide territory have been renovated as well.
During restoration, work was conducted to strengthen and waterproof the foundation, walls and domes were reinforced, exterior plaster was removed and the original exterior was restored.
Under the guidance of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, with the financial support of the RA Ministry of Diaspora, a house was purchased in Batumi, were a cultural, educational and youth center has been established. The Center is a Diocesan-owned property; it was remodeled thanks to the funds allocated by the Jinishian Memorial Foundation. The Headquarters of the Armenian Diocese in Georgian and the Surb Prkich Church parish raised funds to provide furnishings and finalize other aspects of interior design.
The Center was named after Alexander Mantashev. The activities of the Center are aimed at development of Armenian culture, the preservation of Armenian national identity, strengthening of the friendship between Armenians and Georgians.

From April 30 to May 11, 2016, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, at the invitation of His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimian, Primate of the Armenian Church Diocese of Canada, visited the Armenian Church Diocese of Canada.

In Toronto the Primate met with the local clergy, the representatives of the parish and community-based structures, visited the Armenian churches.

On October 22, 2016, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, presided over the service of re-consecration of the Surb Khach (Holy Cross) Church of the village of Sulda in Akhalkalaki region.

On October 23, 2016, on the Feast of the Discovery of the Holy Cross, celebrated by the Armenian Apostolic Church, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, presided over the service of re-consecration of the Surb Sion(Saint Zion) Church of the village of Vachiani in Akhalkalaki region. Thus, the Armenian Diocese in Georgia has 56 functioning churches.

From October 28 to November 18, 2016, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, attended a meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council in the USA, within the framework of which he participated in the solemn celebration of the 110th anniversary of the Armenian General Benevolent Union and events organized by the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America.

In 2016, on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the Armenian Armed Forces, for noteworthy contributions towards spiritual and patriotic education of soldiers the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan was awarded the "Andranik Ozanyan" medal.

Very Rev. Father Babgen Salbiyan

Archimandrite (Vardapet) Babgen Salbiyan (baptismal name Michael) was born on 4 December 1964 in Yerevan.

In 1982 graduated the secondary school № 133 in Yerevan.

In 1983-85 served in the Soviet Army.

In 1989-90 he studied in seminary at Haghpat Monastery.

In 1990 he entered the Gevorkian Theological Seminary at the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin.

In 1993 he was ordained to the diaconate by Archbishop Anania Arabajyan.

In 1995 he defended his final thesis entitled “The Life and Creation of Melik-Tangian.”

In 1995 he started working at the museum at the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin, combining with the duties of the head and mentor at the Gevorkian Theological Seminary at the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin.

On 12 November 1996 was ordained as a celibate priest by Bishop Asoghik Aristakesian in the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin.

In 1997 by the order of the Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Karekin I he was appointed as a

Deputy Head of the Gevorkian Theological Seminary at the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin and at the same time he was teaching the subject of the Old Testament.

On the recommendation of the Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Karekin II he studied atYerevan State University Faculty of Law starting in 1999, and graduated in 2003.

In December 1999 assumed the duties of Inspector at the Gevorkian Theological Seminary at the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin.

On 6 January 2001 by the order of the Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Karekin II was appointed as the Vicar General of the Head of the Armenian Diocese in Samtskhe Javakheti.

On October 5, 2013 in assembly hall of the Gevorkian Theological Seminary of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzinhe successfully defended his Doctoral thesis entitled “Zakarians and the Armenian Church”.

On October 11, 2013 during awards ceremony in Oshakan he received the rank of Archimandrite (Vardapet).

 

Rev. Father Hakob Sahakyan

Abegha (Monk) Hakob Sahakyan (baptismal name Norayr) was born on 6 January 1982 in Small Pamach village in Akhaltsikhe, Georgia.

He studied in the secondary school of the village starting in 1988, and graduated in 1999.

In 1999 he entered the Gevorkian Theological Seminary at the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin and graduated in 2005.

On 1 July 2005 started working at the Christian Education Center as a secretary.

From 1 April 2006 he served at Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator in Yerevan.

From 2006 to 2008 served in the RA Armed Forces.

On 25 December 2006 was ordained to the diaconate.

On 27 December 2006 he defended his final thesis entitled “The Life and Creation of Khoren Stepanetsi.”

On 1 January 2009 he was appointed to serve as postal mail courier at the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin.

On 19 July 2009 was ordained as a celibate priest.

On 1 September 2009 by the order of the Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Karekin II he was appointed to serve in the Diocese of Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia and by the order of the Leader of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia Bishop Vazgen Mirzakanyan was appointed a Spiritual shepherd of Armenians in Vale, Sazel, Oral, Gulalis, Small Pamach, Big Pamach villages of Akhaltsikhe and Adigeni regions.

From 1 December 2009 was appointed to serve as the inspector of the churches in Marneuli, Bolnisi, Dmanisi, Tetri-Tsqaro and Kakheti, and from 30 December combined the work with duties of coordinator at the “Hayartun” Cultural Center.

From 1 July 2010 started to serve as a Spiritual shepherd at the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi assuming the duties of spiritual inspector of the Diocese Youth Association.

From 1 February 2012 started to serve as a Spiritual shepherd at Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator in Akhaltsikhe and of Armenians living in Borjomi, Aspindza, Adigeni, Abastumani, Akhaltsikhe regions.

From 1 december 2014 started to serve as a Spiritual shepherd at Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator in Akhaltsikhe and of Armenians living in Great Pamach, Small Pamach, Oral, Ghulalis and Sazel villages.

On September 1, 2015 he was appointed Reverend Father, Pastor of Akhlatsikhe of Samtskhe-Javakheti and Tsalka General Prelacy and Spiritual Supervisor of Akhaltsikhe and Borjomi regions, the Spiritual Supervision Center was established in Akhaltsikhe St. Gregory Church.

Rev. Father Yeghishe Harutyunyan

Senior priest Yeghishe Harutyunyan (baptismal name Razmik) was born on 1 September 1939 in Gyumri.

He studied in the secondary school № 51 in Gymri starting in 1946, and graduated in 1956.

In 1959-60s he entered the Gevorkian Theological Seminary at the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin.

From 1960 to 1961 he served in the Soviet Army.

In 1962 he continued education at the Gevorkian Theological Seminary at the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin.

In 1968 he was ordained to the diaconate by Archbishop Haykazun Abrahamian.

In 1969 was ordained as a secular priest by Vicar of Araratian Patriarchal Diocese Bishop Vahan at Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi and started to serve in Surb Khach Church in Akhalkalaki.

In 1972 by the order of Archbishop Komitas Ter-Stepanosyan was appointed to serve at St. Echmiadzin Church in Tbilisi.

On 17 July 1976 by the order of the former Leader of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia Archbishop Gevorg Seraidaryan was moved to serve at the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi and was granted the right to wear the Pectoral Cross.

On 25 August 1990 obtained the title of Senior Priest.

On 1 April 2003 at the direction of the Leader of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia Bishop Vazgen Mirzakanyan was appointed to serve as a Spiritual shepherd at the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi.

On 1 June 2005 was appointed to serve as a Spiritual shepherd at St. Echmiadzin Church in Tbilisi.

On 1 October 2006 was appointed to serve as a sacristan at the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi.

On 1 July 2010 was appointed to serve as a Spiritual shepherd of Armenians living in Marneuli, Tetri-Tsqaro, Bolnisi and Dmanisi regions.

On 1 April 2012 was appointed to serve as a spiritual inspector at the “Hayartun” Cultural Center.

On 12 November 2012 temporarily was appointed to serve as a Spiritual shepherd of Armenians living in villages of Akhaltsikhe region in the Vicariate of Samtskxe-Javakheti.

He is married and has four children.

Rev. Father Yeghia Tazayan

Senior Priest Yeghia Tazayan (baptismal name Aleqsan) was born on 5 January 1957 in Orojalar village of Bogdanovka region

He studied in the local secondary school starting in 1964 and graduate in 1974.

In 1974-77 he entered the Armenian State Pedagogical University named after Khachatur Abovian.  

In 1977 he entered the Gevorkian Theological Seminary at the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin, and graduated in 1982.

In 1983 was ordained as a secular priest by Archbishop Gevorg Seraidaryan and appointed to serve in St. Echmiadzin Church in Tbilisi.

From 1984 to 1993 he served at Surb Sargis Church in Stepanavan.

In 1993 by the order of the Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Vazgen I was appointed to serve in the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia as a Spiritual shepherd of Surb Sargis Church in Ninotsminda.

On 1 August 2003 by the order of the Leader of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia Bishop Vazgen Mirzakanyan was reaffirmed as a Spiritual shepherd in Surb Sargis Church of Ninotsminda.

On 1 June 2007 was appointed to serve as a Spiritual shepherd of Armenians living in Tsalka and Tetri-Tsqaro regions.

On 1 May 2008 he was appointed to serve as a Spiritual shepherd of Surb Khach Church in Damala Village of Aspindza Region.

On 1 September 2009 he was appointed to serve as a Spiritual shepherd in Gandza, Foka, Parvana, Nor-Khulzumo, Tambovka, Aspara, Vladimirovka, Saghamo villages of Ninotsminda region.

On 12 November 2012 he was appointed as a Spiritual shepherd of Damala Village in Aspindza Region in the Vicariate of Samtskxe-Javakheti.

He is married and has two children.

Rev. Father Husik Harutyunyan

Priest Ter-Husik Harutyunyan (baptismal name Hovhannes) was born on 17 June, 1970 in Gumri RA in the family of priest.

He studied in the Armenian secondary school № 93 in Tbilisi starting in 1977 and graduated in 1987.

In 1987 he entered the Gevorkian Theological Seminary at the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin.

From 1988 to 1989 he served in the Soviet Army.

From 1989 to 1991 continued education at the Gevorkian Theological Seminary at the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin.

In 1991 he served at Cathedral of Saint George inTbilisi as acolyte.

On 10 June 1993 was ordained to the diaconate by Archbishop Ter-Gevork Seraidaryan.

On 17 June 1993 was ordained as a secular priest by Archbishop Ter-Gevork Seraidaryan and served at Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi.

On 1 August 2003 by the order of the Leader of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanian was appointed to serve as a Spiritual shepherd of the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi and subsequently served in other churches of the Diocese.

On 1 January 2011 was appointed to serve as an Assistant Pastor at Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi.

On 1 September 2012 was appointed to serve as a sacristan at the Cathedral of Saint George inTbilisi,

In 2012 he was granted the right to wear the Pectoral Cross.

On February 24, 2014 he was granted the right to wear Phelonian.

On October 1, 2015, priest Ter Husik Harutyunyan was appointed to serve as an Assistant Pastor at the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi and the Head of the Social Service at the residence of the Primate of the Diocese.

On May 1, 2016, Rev. Father Husik Harutyunyan was appointed the Pastor of Armenians in the city of Bolnisi, the villages of Daghet Khachen and Kianeti of the Bolnisi District, as well as in the city of Tetritskaro, the villages of Samshvilde, Samgreti, Daghet, Big Durnuk and Small Durnuk of the Tetritskaro District. Rev. Father Husik Harutyunyan is delegated to visit the faithful of the Armenian Church in the places of detention in Georgia on Fridays.

On September 1, 2016, Rev. Fr. Husik Harutyunyan was appointed concurrently the Pastor of Armenians in Marneuli region.

He is married and has three children.

Rev. Father Narek Ghushyan

Priest Ter-Narek Ghushyan (baptismal name Smbat) was born on 21 December 1974 in Akhaltikhe, Georgia, in the family of worker.

He studied in the Russian secondary school № 2 in Akhaltsikhe starting in 1980 and graduated in 1991.

In 1991 he entered the Gevorkian Theological Seminary at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, and graduated in 1995.

On September 27, 1996 was ordained to the diaconate by Archbishop Ter-Tiran Kyureghyan.

On May 8, 1997 at Saint Gayane Church in Echmiadzin was ordained as a secular priest by His Eminence Archbishop Ter-Gevorg Seraidaryan, and started to serve as a Spiritual shepherd in the villages of Akhaltsikhe region.

On August 1, 2003 by the order of the Leader of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanian he was appointed to serve as priest, who conducts ceremonies, in the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi and subsequently served in other churches of the Diocese.

On December 28, 2009 was appointed to serve as a sacristan at the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi.

On February 1, 2012 was appointed to serve as a Spiritual shepherd at the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi.

On October 1, 2015, priest Ter Narek Ghushyan was appointed to serve as a Spiritual shepherd in the Tbilisi Saint Etchmiadzin Church and an assistant to the Primate of the Diocese in the field of inter-religious and external church relations.

On September 1, 2016, Rev. Fr. Narek Ghushyan was appointed to serve as a sacristan in the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi.

He is married and has three children.

Rev. Father Samvel Torosyan

Priest Ter-Samuel Torosyan (baptismal name Smbat) was born on 8 March 1974 in Akhaltsikhe Georgia, in the family of a craftsman.

He studied in the Armenian secondary school № 3 of Akhaltsikhe starting in 1980 and graduated in 1991.

In 1993 he entered the Gevorkian Theological Seminary at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

On 17 August 1997 was ordained to the diaconate by His Eminence Archbishop Ter-Gevorg Seraidaryan.

On 30 May 1999 was ordained as a secular priest by His Eminence Archbishop Ter-Gevorg Seraidaryan in the Khor Virap i and started to serve as a Spiritual shepherd in Surb Khach Church in Akhaltsikhe.

On 1 December 2009 by the order of the Leader of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanian he was appointed to serve as a sacristan in St. Echmiadzin Church in Tbilisi.

On 1 January 2011 was appointed to serve as a Spiritual shepherd in St. Echmiadzin Church in Tbilisi.

On October 1, 2015, priest Ter Samuel Torosyan was appointed to serve as a Spiritual shepherd at the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi.

Rev. Father Virap Ghazaryan

Rev. Father Virap (baptismal name Ashot) Ghazaryan was born in 1973, in the village of Aghavnatun, near the city of Etchmiadzin.

1980-1990: received primary education in Movses Khorenatsi Primary School No 10, Etchmiadzin.

1990-1998: studied in the Gevorkian Theological Academy of Holy Etchmiadzin.

On July 4, 1998, ordained as Deacon by His Eminence Archbishop Shahe Achemyan.

1998-2000: appointed to serve in the Russian and Novo-Nakhichevan Diocese.
In 2000, was appointed a spiritual mentor in the village of Artimet and nearby villages of the Armavir Diocese.

In the same year, was appointed an assistant to the Primate of the Diocese of Aragatsotn and a spiritual mentor in Aparan region at the same time.

On December 25, 2000, he defended his final theses entitled “Printing House of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin from 1771 to 1920”.

On January 14, 2001, was ordained as a secular priest by the Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Karekin II, and from February 22 to June, 2015, served as the Pastor in the Spiritual Pastorate of Aparan.

On May 1, 2016, Rev. Priest Ter-Tatev Maruqyan (baptismal name Arsen) was born on 19 July 1983 in Gyumri RA.

He studied in Gymri secondary school № 26 named after Avetik Isahakyan starting in 1990 and graduated in 2000.

In 2000 he entered Gyumri Theological Seminary and graduated in 2003.

In 2003 he entered the Gevorkian Theological Seminary at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and graduated in 2006.

In February 2006 he was ordained to the diaconate by Archbishop Ter-Nerses Pozapalyan and was appointed to serve at the Christian Education Center.

Priest Ter- Ghevond Topashyan (baptismal name Grigor) was born on April 15, 1982 in Tbilisi, Georgia.

From 1988 to 1999 studied at Tbilisi № 95 Armenian public school.

In 1999 entered the Gevorkian Theological Seminary at the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin.

In 2001 left the seminary and returned to Georgia.

From 1993 to 2011served at Saint George and Saint Etchmiadzin Churches of the Diocese as acolyte.

In 2011 entered clergy classroom of Gevorkian Theological Seminary at the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin and graduated in 2014.

On December 24, 2013 was ordained to the diaconate by Archbishop Hovakim Manukyan.

On September 21, 2014 was ordained to the secularpriesthood with the blessing of His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians and by Bishop Haykazun Najaryan, and was given the name Ter-Ghevond.

October 09. 2001: left to study in Jerusalem Theological Seminary after Alek and Mary Manoogian by Armenian Patriarchate.
