Celebration dedicated to the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan PDF Print E-mail

A1On November 25, 2018, the another event dedicated to the celebration of the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan, the pink capital of the Republic of Armenia took place at the Alexander Mantashev Educational, Cultural and Youth Center (Batumi) of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia.
The event was attended by Consul General of the Republic of Armenia in Batumi Yeghishe Sargsyan, Pastor of Armenians in Adjara, Guria, Imereti and the Saint Savior (Surb Prkich) church in Batumi Rev. Father Ararat Gumbalyan, representatives of the Armenian community of the 1seaside city and members of the public.
Opening the event, the head of the Center Sona Hovhannisyan congratulated the attendees on the occasion of the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan, appreciated the love and devotion of the people to its ancient city and mentioned that the jubilee of Yerevan is a feast for Armenians all over the world. The latter praised Ruzanna Ovanisyan, the Choirmaster of the "Aghbyur" ("Source") Choir and Satenik Danielyan, the teacher of the recitation and theater group for organizing the event dedicated to Yerevan.
2Students of the Center performed songs, recited poems and danced victorious dances which became the expression of the rich Armenian culture, as well as the praise of glorious victories, guarantee of prosperity and development of the Armenian capital.
At the end of the event, Consul Mr. Yeghishe3 Sargsyan congratulated the attendees and delivered a speech. The latter touched upon the history of Armenian people's struggle for the restoration of its statehood for centuries, mentioned that today the Armenian nation has a free and independent motherland, its 2800-year-old capital Yerevan, a hospitable and beloved city for locals, visitors and all Armenians.
Summing up the event, Rev. Father Ararat Gumbalyan conveyed blessings of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia and His congratulations on the occasion of the anniversary and wished that the capital of all Armenians, which has seen numerous hardships and suffered many troubles, becomes even more beautiful and more prosper and welcoming to the Armenians and guests all over the world.
The event was ended, giving the participants a joyful and festive mood.
