Rev. Father Tatev Maruqyan
Priest Ter-Tatev Maruqyan (baptismal name Arsen) was born on 19 July 1983 in Gyumri RA.
He studied in Gymri secondary school № 26 named after Avetik Isahakyan starting in 1990 and graduated in 2000.
In 2000 he entered Gyumri Theological Seminary and graduated in 2003.
In 2003 he entered the Gevorkian Theological Seminary at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and graduated in 2006.
In February 2006 he was ordained to the diaconate by Archbishop Ter-Nerses Pozapalyan and was appointed to serve at the Christian Education Center.
In April 2008 successfully defended his final theses entitled “Christian Upbringing in the Family and the Concept of Faith among Children”.
In 2008 he was ordained as a secular priest by Bishop Sahak Mashalyan .
From January 2009 he was appointed to serve at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia as a Spiritual shepherd of Armenians in Adigeni and Abastumani regions and Armenian villages of Akhaltsikhe region.
Since September 2009 was appointed to serve at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia as a Spiritual shepherd of Samtse-Javakheti Armenians in Akhalkalaki and adjacent villages.
He is married and has two children.
