DEACON OTAR GIGAURI
Deacon Otar Gigauri was born on September 3, 1981 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
From 1988 to 1999, he studied at the Russian secondary school №159 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
From 2000 to 2001, Deacon Otar Gigauri studied at the Gevorkian Theological Seminary of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
On November 1, 2002, he entered the service at the Cathedral of St. George in Tbilisi, Georgia, as a clerk.
On July 15, 2003, by the order of His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakanyan, the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia, Deacon Otar Gigauri was appointed to serve at St. Etchmiadzin Church in Tbilisi, as the Senior Sacristan.
On December 25, 2004, he was ordained clerk by the order of His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakanyan, the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia.
From 2009 to 2010, Deacon Otar Gigauri studied at the Theological Seminary of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem, named after Alek and Mary Manoogian.
On April 1, 2010, by the order of His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakanyan, the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia, Deacon Otar Gigauri was appointed to serve at St. Etchmiadzin Church in Tbilisi, as the Senior Sacristan.
On December 26, 2006, he was ordained as a deacon by the order of His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakanyan, the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia.
On September 1, 2018, by the order of His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakanyan, the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia, he was appointed to serve at the Cathedral of St. George in Tbilisi, Georgia, as the Senior Sacristan.
Since 2020, by the order of Very Reverend Archimandrite Father Kirakos Davtyan, the Locum Tenens of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia, Deacon Otar Gigauri serves at St. Etchmiadzin Church in Tbilisi, Georgia.
