REVEREND FATHER NAREK TIGRANYAN
Reverend Father Narek Tigranyan (baptismal name is Ashot) was born on January 16, 1992, in Etchmiadzin, Armenia.
From 1998 to 2008, Rev. Fr. Narek Tigranyan studied at secondary school № 12, named after Zoravar Andranik in Etchmiadzin, Armenia.
From 2008 to 2014, Rev. Fr. Narek Tigranyan studied at the Gevorkian Theological Seminary of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
In 2012, he was ordained as a deacon by His Grace Bishop Gevorg Saroyan.
In 2014, Rev. Fr. Narek Tigranyan successfully defended his final theses entitled “Armenian - Georgian church relations during the governance of Zakaryan.”
In 2014, Rev. Fr. Narek Tigranyan was appointed at the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin in the Mother See of Holy See of Etchmiadzin as the Assistant of the Grand Sacristan of the Mother Cathedral.
On October 7, 2018, he was consecrated and ordained as a secular (married) priest and given the priestly name of Narek.
On December 1, 2018, by the order of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, Rev. Fr. Narek Tigranyan was appointed to serve at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia, under the authority and supervision of the Primate of the Diocese.
In 2018, by the order of His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakanyan, the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia, Rev. Fr. Narek Tigranyan was appointed to serve at the Vicariate of Samtskhe-Javakheti and Tsalka as the Pastor of Surb Khach (Holy Cross) Church in Akhalkalaki and as the Visiting Pastor of Armenian communities in Korkhi Pastorate of t the Vicariate, under the authority and supervision of the Vicar General of the Vicariate of Samtskhe-Javakheti and Tsalka, Georgia.
