BISHOP SARKIS VRASTANTSI

Bishop Sarkis Vrastantsi was the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia from 1496-1515. Bishop Sarkis Vrastantsi later was elected and consecrated as Sarkis IV Vrastantsi, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians (1520-1536) (M.Ormanyan “Azgapatum” (National History), article 1535).
