Vardges Surenyants Educational, Cultural and Youth Center
On December 23, 2018, Vardges Surenyants Educational, Cultural and Youth Center was established in Spiritual Superintendence of Akhaltsikhe and Borjomi of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. The Center operates in the building adjacent to Surb Grigor Lusavorich (Saint Gregory the Illuminator) church.
The main and only goal adopted by the Center is to maintain Armenian spiritual and national culture alive and vivid in the minds and hearts of local Armenians.
The following subjects are taught at the Center:
1. Armenian history
2. Mother language
3. Music, particularlly guitar
4. English
5. Painting
6. Handicraft
The director of the Center is Asya Yepranosyan-Baboyan.
Asya Yepranosyan-Baboyan was born in Akhaltsikhe; she is an economist. She worked in the family photography business.
During the years of work she was involved in the process of aesthetic education and upbringing of the younger generation, and teaching them various crafts and arts.
