Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues congratulated Primate of Armenian Diocese in Georgia on his Episcopal ordination
On October 1, 2023, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues Zaza Vashakhmadze and the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan in the Georgian government department.
The Chairman of the State Agency congratulated the Diocesan Primate on the occasion of his Episcopal ordination and expressed satisfaction with the productive collaboration between the State Agency for Religious Issues and the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. Mr. Vashakhmadze also highly appreciated the cooperation in the format of inter-religious consultations, in which the Armenian Diocese in Georgia is actively involved.
His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan expressed his gratitude to the Chairman of the Agency for his congratulations and good wishes and announced that on November 16, the International Day of Tolerance, the Armenian Diocese in Georgia is ready to host the members of the Interreligious Consultative Council.
Nino Chavchavadze, Head of the Strategic Research, Analysis and Regional Service of the Agency also attended the meeting held at the Agency for Religious Issues.
