Divine Liturgy dedicated to Feast of Exaltation of Holy Cross in Armenian Churches in Tbilisi

On September 14, 2025, the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church celebrated the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, the last of the five major feasts of the Armenian Church. The feast was celebrated with festive Divine Liturgies in the churches of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia.
At the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi, under the presidency of His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Rev. Father Archimandrite Ruben Zargaryan, member of the Brotherhood of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and Director of the Department of Ecclesiastical Conceptual Affairs of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
During the Divine Liturgy, the celebrant preached about the meaning of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, noting that it is the most important of all feasts dedicated to the Cross, as it commemorates the return of the Cross from captivity and its exaltation in glory.
At the conclusion of the sacred service, the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia congratulated the faithful on the occasion of the Feast and expressed words of appreciation to Rev. Father Archimandrite Ruben Zargaryan for celebrating the festive Divine Liturgy.
At Saint Etchmiadzin Church in Avlabari, Tbilisi, the Divine Liturgy dedicated to the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross was celebrated by the Rev. Father Hovsep Harutyunyan.
On the same day, following the evening service in the churches, basil, regarded by the people as the flower of the Cross, was blessed.
