Students of "St. Moses of Khoren" Preschool of Armenian Diocese in Georgia will Receive Armenian-Centered Education

On May 22, 2025, with the paternal blessing of His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, a group of graduates from the Diocese’s “St. Moses of Khoren” (Surb Movses Khorenatsi) Preschool, led by the director of the “Hayartun” Center, Eugenia Markosyan, accompanied by preschool teacher Aida Bazoyan-Surmalyan and the children’s parents, visited Public School No. 104 of Tbilisi, where they completed their registration for admission to the first grade.

The preschool children were warmly welcomed by the school principal, Irina Zhamkochyan, and the deputy principal, Almar Siradeghyan. The children demonstrated to the school leadership the level of knowledge with which they are entering the Armenian school, which is certainly a guarantee of deepening and expanding their knowledge in the future. The school administration expressed their gratitude to the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, conveyed their appreciation to the leadership of the “Hayartun” Center and the teachers of the “St. Moses of Khoren” Preschool for consistently guiding students to their educational institution with a proper level of knowledge and a profound command of the Armenian language over the years. This, they noted, is one of the cornerstones of the children’s academic success and their receiving a high-quality, Armenian-centered education.

The future first graders toured the school building, visited their future classroom, and spent time in the library, where they impressed the librarian, Hasmik Antonyan, with their excellent knowledge of Tumanyan’s fairy tales.

Based on documents carefully and accurately prepared by the Center and applications from parents, ten of this year's 15 graduates of "St. Moses of Khoren" preschool will begin the 2025-2026 academic year at Armenian School No. 104, and 3 at Georgian-Armenian Public School No. 103.
