Three Armenian Participants will Represent Different Countries at Junior Eurovision 2025
The host city of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 is Tbilisi, which earned this honor after winning the 2024 competition. Notably, three of the 18 contestants participating this year are of Armenian descent.
On December 11, at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Georgia, and in cooperation with the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, a special meeting took place at the Diocese’s “Hayartun” Educational and Cultural Center with three young stars: Albert Armenakyan, representing the Republic of Armenia; Sofiia Nersisian, representing Ukraine; and Anita Abgaryan, representing Georgia.
The meeting with the three young Armenian artists began with a visit to St. Etchmiadzin Church in Avlabari, where the honorable priests and deacons warmly welcomed the talented performers. Rev. Father. Samvel Torosyan conveyed the paternal blessings and heartfelt wishes of His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, blessed the children, and presented them with souvenir gifts.
In the Calouste Gulbenkian Hall, filled with enthusiastic fans, the three Junior Eurovision participants were greeted and wished success by Ashot Smbatyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Georgia; Olena Hladushchenko, representative of the Embassy of Ukraine; and Eugenia Markosyan, Director of the “Hayartun” Center.

A representative of Armenian media explained the voting mechanism for supporting the three chosen countries on the day of the contest. The meeting concluded with the Armenian participants receiving gifts and words of encouragement for their future success from the Embassies of the Republic of Armenia and Ukraine.
