REVEREND FATHER HUSIK HARUTYUNYAN
Reverend Father Husik Harutyunyan (baptismal name is Hovhannes) was born on June 17, 1970 in Gumri, Armenian, in the family of priest. His father is Reverend Father Archpriest Yeghishe Harutyunyan.
From 1977 to 1987, Rev. Fr. Husik Harutyunyan studied at the Armenian secondary school № 93 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
In 1987, Rev. Fr. Harutyunyan entered the Gevorkian Theological Seminary of the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin. From 1988 to 1989, Rev. Fr. Husik Harutyunyan served in the Soviet Army as a civilian. From 1989 to 1991, he continued his education at the Gevorkian Theological Seminary of the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin.
In 1991, he served at the Cathedral of St. George in Tbilisi as a clerk and assistant of the Pastor.
On June 10, 1993, he was ordained deacon by His Eminence Archbishop Gevorg Seraidaryan, the late the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia.
On June 17, 1993, he was consecrated and ordained as a secular (married) priest by His Eminence Archbishop Gevorg Seraidaryan, the late the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia, and given the priestly name of Husik.
After his consecration as a secular (married) priest, Rev. Fr. Husik Harutyunyan was appointed to serve at the Cathedral of St. George in Tbilisi, Georgia.
On August 1, 2003, by the order of His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakanyan, the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia, Rev. Fr. Harutyunyan was appointed to serve at the Cathedral of St. George in Tbilisi, Georgia, as the Pastor and subsequently was serving in the other Armenian Churches of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia.
On January 1, 2011, Rev. Fr. Husik Harutyunyan was appointed to serve at the Cathedral of St. George in Tbilisi, Georgia, as the Assistant Pastor.
On September 1, 2012, Rev. Fr. Harutyunyan was appointed to serve at the Cathedral of St. George in Tbilisi, Georgia, as the Grand Sacristan.
In 2012, Rev. Fr. Husik was granted the right to wear the Pectoral Cross.
In 2014, Rev. Fr. Husik was granted the right to wear Phelonian.
On October 1, 2015, Rev. Fr. Husik Harutyunyan was appointed to serve at the Cathedral of St. George in Tbilisi, Georgia, as the Assistant Pastor, as well as the Manager of the Social Service at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia.
On May 1, 2016, Rev. Fr. Harutyunyan was appointed in the Armenians communities in Bolnisi, Daghet Khachen and Kianeti, Tetritskaro, Samshvilde, Samgreti, Daghet, Big Durnuk and Small Durnuk of the Tetritskaro District as the Pastor.
On September 1, 2016, Rev. Fr. Husik Harutyunyan was appointed concurrently the Pastor of Armenians communities in Marneuli region.
In 2019, by the order of Very Reverend Archimandrite Father Kirakos Davtyan, the Locum Tenens of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia, Rev. Fr. Husik Harutyunyan was appointed to serve at the Cathedral of St. George in Tbilisi, Georgia, as the Pastor.
