REVEREND FATHER SAMVEL TOROSYAN
Reverend Father Samuel Torosyan (baptismal name is Smbat) was born on March 8, 1974, in the city of Akhaltsikhe, Georgia, to a craftsman’s family.
From 1980 to 1991, Rev. Father Samuel Torosyan studied at the Armenian secondary school № 3 in Akhaltsikhe, Georgia.
In 1993, he was admitted to the Gevorkian Theological Seminary of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
On August 17, 1997, he was ordained as a deacon by His Eminence Archbishop Gevorg Seraidaryan, the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia.
On May 30, 1999, he was ordained as a priest by His Eminence Archbishop Gevorg Seraidaryan, the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia, in the Monastery of Khor Virap in Armenia, and appointed to serve as a pastor at Holy Cross (Surb Khach) church in Akhalkalaki.
On December 1, 2009, by the order of His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakanyan, the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia, Rev. Father Samuel Torosyan was appointed to serve at St. Etchmiadzin Church in Tbilisi, Georgia, as the Grand Sacristan.
On January 1, 2011, Rev. Father Samuel Torosyan was appointed to serve at St. Etchmiadzin Church in Tbilisi, Georgia, as the Pastor.
From October 1, 2015, Rev. Father Torosyan was appointed to serve at the Cathedral of St. George in Tbilisi, Georgia, as the Pastor.
From September 1, 2018, Rev. Father Samuel Torosyan was appointed to serve at St. Etchmiadzin Church in Tbilisi, Georgia, as the Pastor.
Rev. Father Samvel Torosyan is married and has three children.
