REVEREND FATHER TADEOS TER-MKRTCHYAN

Reverend Father Tadeos Ter-Mkrtchyan (baptismal name is Aram) was born on April 14, 1982 in Azatan village, in Gyumri, Armenia.

From 1988 to 1997, Rev. Fr. Tadeos Ter-Mkrtchyan studied at the secondary school in Gyumri, Armenia.

From 1997 to 1999, Rev. Fr. Tadeos Ter-Mkrtchyan studied at the Russian school № 23 in Gyumri, Armenia.

From 1999 to 2003, Rev. Fr. Tadeos studied at the Theological Seminary of Gyumri, Armenia.

From 2003 to 2006, Rev. Fr. Tadeos Ter-Mkrtchyan studied at the Gevorkian Theological Seminary of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

On October 8, 2006, he was ordained as a deacon by His Grace Bishop Paren Avetisyan and was appointed to serve at “Etchmiadzin” a monthly official publication of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin as the distributor.

In 2007, he was appointed to serve at the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Shirak as the supervisor on the subject of the History of the Armenian Church.

On June 24, 2007, he was consecrated and ordained, as a secular (married) priest by His Grace Bishop Vigen Aikazian in Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin and given the priestly name of Tadeos.

On September 1, 2007, by the order of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, Rev. Fr. Tadeos Ter-Mkrtchyan was appointed to serve at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia, under the authority and supervision of the Primate of the Diocese.

On September 1, 2007,  by the order of His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakanyan, the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia, Rev. Fr. Tadeos Ter-Mkrtchyan was appointed at the Vicariate of Samtskhe-Javakheti and Tsalka as the Pastor of  St. George Church of Arakova village in Akhalkalaki region and neighboring villages, under the authority and supervision of the Vicar General of the Vicariate of Samtskhe-Javakheti and Tsalka, Georgia.
