PRESS AND MEDIA DEPARTMENT - DIRECTOR: SUSANNA KHACHATRYAN
The Press and Media Department of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia covers the activities of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia and the spiritual, cultural, educational and youth centers operating under its auspices: "Hayartun" and "Hovhannes Tumanyan's House" in Tbilisi, "Alexander Mantashyants" in Batumi, "Rafael Javakh" in Ninotsminda, "St. Gregory of Narek" in Rustavi, "Karapet Archbishop Bagratuni" in Akhalkalaki, "Vardges Surenyants" in Akhaltsikhe. It organizes and disseminates information in four languages and engages in outreach to familiarize various segments of society with spiritual values, the sacraments of Christianity, and church activities.
The activities of the Press Department include producing television and radio programs and publishing materials on spiritual topics in print and digital media. The Press Department's activities also include enriching the Diocese's multilingual website, posting news, updating materials, and preparing the texts for announcements and invitations.
The Press Department disseminates news of Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, information about the meetings, trips, pious activities, and charitable initiatives of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians in four languages through its digital platforms.
Efforts are underway to keep a wider audience informed about the diverse activities of other dioceses and communities in the Diaspora. Through active cooperation with various media outlets, social programs implemented by the clergy are regularly covered, as well as celebrations of church feasts, the clergy’s views and stance on social issues are also voiced.
The Press Department publishes and distributes informational leaflets on church feasts, celebrations, and youth associations. The official website and social media pages of the Diocese, which are managed by the Press Department, are as follows:

The official website of the Diocese operates in four languages: Armenian, Georgian, English, and Russian. All materials are translated and published on the page.
The Department's digital service ensures the rapid dissemination and delivery of information to news outlets and agencies, as well as the preliminary notification of various Diocese events via SMS.
The Press Department prepares video programs. Videos and stories, ranging from 4 to 8 minutes, are posted on the website and social media.
The department shares videos and information about various events with the RA Public, "Shoghakat", "Armenia TV", "Shant" and "Kentron" TV channels.

Press and Media Department of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia is headed by Susanna Khachatryan. She has nearly four decades of experience in journalism. For many years, she led the Armenian program on Georgian Public Radio and Television and hosted the Armenian program on regional television.
She is married and has a daughter, a son, and three grandchildren.
