Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Georgia and Armenia visited the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi
The Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church continues to host diplomats conducting their activities in Georgia.
On December 8, 2023, the headquarters of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, the Cathedral of Saint George hosted the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Denmark to Georgia and Armenia H.E. Mrs. Anne Toft Sørensen.
His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia received H.E. Mrs. Anne Toft Sørensen and presented the structure of the Diocese, the number and activities of churches. In the conversation, His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan highlighted the uniqueness of the activity of the Diocese, which, together with the spiritual, also attaches importance to the activities of the educational, cultural, and youth centers operating under the auspices of the Diocese. He also spoke about the current works and plans and programs for the future.
During the meeting, the importance of such a format was emphasized by both sides, followed by the agreement of the parties on the need to continue such dialogues.
His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan and his guests toured the ancient cathedral, heard the history of the church, and took a look at the frescoes adorning the walls of the church.
Arnold Stepanyan, the founder of the Diocesan Community Initiatives Development Foundation, and Mari Mikoyan, the head of the same fund, took part in the meeting.
