Another graduation event at the “Saint Movses of Khoren” preschool of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia
On June 28, 2023, the graduation ceremony of the 2022-23 academic year of the “Saint Movses of Khoren” (“Surb Movses Khorenatsi”) Preschool of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia was held in the Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of the Diocesan “Hayartun” Center, which was also the farewell party of the senior preschool group.
The appearance of the beautifully decorated hall was symbolic; a trip to “Treasure Island”, and the fulfillment of children's dreams. In line with the marine topic, the students of the senior group of the preschool gathered in the hall dressed in sailor uniforms, and next to them were the children of the junior group.
The hall was full of people: parents, teachers, and former preschool students.
The event started with the Lord's prayer of the preschool students. Eugenia Markosyan, Head of the Diocesan “Hayartun” Center gave opening remarks. The latter conveyed the blessings of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, Rev. Father Archimandrite Kirakos Davtyan. Expressing her gratitude, she highlighted the Diocesan Primate’s attention and support to the children's institution and spoke about the 11 graduates, most of whom will continue their Armenian education in a public school teaching in their native language.
And the trip of the big “Hayartun” ship began, meeting "mermaids" in the "sea", seeing "singing" forests, mountains, and other forest residents from whom they heard about "Hayartun", they found a chest in the sea, where only one letter was found; it was a letter about the importance of knowledge. The trip was interrupted by the children's beautiful speech, smooth pronunciation, the brave dance of the boys, the graceful beauty of the girls, and talented singing.
Preschool teachers Aida Bazoyan and Tatevik Sahakyan, headed by Eugenia Markosyan educated and brought up the students of the Preschool with motherly care, instilling in them such values as friendship, kindness, care, and Christian love. The teaching staff has spared no effort and energy to equip the children with knowledge and abilities so that they are prepared and ready to enter school life when they step into a new phase of learning.
At the end of the event, the graduates received certificates of completion of the preschool, commemorative albums, and beautiful gifts prepared by Alina and Yervand Sargsyan, parents of the preschool students,
The festive mood continued by releasing balloons in the courtyard of Saint Etchmiadzin Church in Avlabar, after which in church they received the blessing of Rev. Father Samvel Torosyan and gifts from an unknown benefactor.
