Armenian Diocese in Georgia hosted delegation of Jinishian Memorial Foundation

The delegation of the Jinishian Memorial Foundation was hosted in Tbilisi on January 29, 2025.
The delegation included Eliza Minasyan, Executive Director of the Jinishian Memorial Foundation's American Office; Armen Hakobyan, Director of its Armenian Office; Sona Harutyunyan and Philip Woods from the US Advisory Committee.
After touring the Holy Etchmiadzin Church in Tbilisi and receiving the blessing of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, and having a private conversation, the guests visited the "Hayartun" Educational and Cultural Center. Eugenia Markosyan, Director of the Center, presented its activities, including the Jinishian Hall, where throughout the day, classes from the "St. Moses of Khoren" Preschool, the one-day Armenian language school, and the "Hayos Band" vocal-instrumental ensemble, as well as various meetings, take place one after another.
After learning about the work carried out with the support of the Jinishian Foundation, presented by Emil Sargsyan, Head of the Youth Department of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, the guests visited the "Hovhannes Tumanyan’s House" Center for Science, Education, and Culture of the Diocese.
Here, at a meeting in a question-and-answer format with participants of the “Civic Dialogue and Action for Change 2023-2024” program, funded by the foundation, the delegation members learned about the project's impact, youth participation, and the significance of the meetings.
The management of the Jinishian Foundation listened to the youth's suggestions, whose implementation will help enhance civic, social, and spiritual activities, enrich young people's lives, and make their acquired knowledge more practical.
The heads of both the Jinishian Memorial Foundation and the Diocesan Youth Department expressed their willingness to continue cooperating on new projects.
