"Hayartun" Center of Armenian Diocese in Georgia Participated in Gala Concert of Ethnographic Song Festival
The Tbilisi Children's Ethnographic Song Festival in 2023 also included the "Hayartun" Education, Culture and Youth Center of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia (Director: Eugenia Markosyan, Head of Culture Department: Suren Abramyan), representing the Armenian culture with folk songs, national dances and musical instruments and receiving a warm welcome from the audience with its first performance.
The "Hayartun" Center, which earned the high appreciation of the jury, also participated in the final Gala concert of the festival.
On October 21, 2024, in the Grand Hall of the Vano Sarajishvili State Conservatoire in Tbilisi, the "Hayartun" Education, Culture and Youth Center, receiving the blessings and good wishes of His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, performed the song "I sigh not, while thou art my soul" by Sayat-Nova and a mix of Armenian and Georgian city song presented by talented soloist Aida Bazoyan-Surmalyan with the accompaniment of the Center's duduk group (Head: Ivane Mkrtchyan).
"Hayartun" Education, Culture and Youth Center of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia was awarded the Certificate of Honor and the Festival Cup for their remarkable presentation of the traditional Armenian national song accompanied by duduk at the Children's Ethnographic Song Festival sponsored by Tbilisi Municipality and Sakrebulo (City Council).
