Holy Altar was Consecrated in Tavush Region by Primate of Armenian Diocese in Georgia

On April 7, 2025, with the blessing of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, and under the leadership of Rev. Father Archimandrite Samvel Mkhitaryan, the solemn consecration ceremony of the Holy Altar and the Chapel of the Holy Mother of God—attached to the Prelacy of the Diocese of Tavush—was conducted by His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia.
With their devotion, prayers, and efforts, Mr. and Mrs. Armen Iskandaryan and Armenouhi Poghosyan, as well as other devout Armenians, contributed to the construction of the Holy Chapel. It is their prayer that the chapel becomes a place of hope and consolation, joy and inspiration—a sacred site for communion with God and unity in His presence.
After the solemn consecration ceremony, according to the Pontifical Encyclical of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, Mr. and Mrs. Armen Iskandaryan and Armenouhi Poghosyan were awarded the highest order of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, the Order of Nerses IV the Gracious Patriarch.
His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan congratulated the faithful on the occasion of the Feast of the Annunciation. After the consecration of the Holy Altar of the Holy Mother of God Chapel, he urged them to seek the intercession of the Holy Mother of God in their prayers and expressed the hope that the consecrated chapel would become a unique place of eternal blessing and faith.
At the end, an event was held, during which the local children's choir performed, the handiwork of the prelate's students was presented, as well as a small performance was staged, along with prayers offered to the Mother of God.
