Holy Resurrection’s Good News Conveyed to Akhkyorpi Village Residents

On May 2, 2025, with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, Rev. Father Hovsep Harutyunyan and Deacon Gevorg Avetisyan visited the village of Akhkyorpi in the Marneuli region.

At the local Sourb Astvatsatsin (Holy Mother of God) chapel, the representatives of the Diocese's clergy shared the good news of the Holy Resurrection and conveyed the Easter blessing of the Diocesan Primate to the gathered faithful.

A baptism ceremony for the faithful was also held in the village. Fourteen children from the village were baptized and anointed with Holy Chrism by Rev. Father Hovsep and Deacon Gevorg.

The visit of the Diocesan clergy concluded with the traditional Easter Home Blessing service. During these festive days of the Holy Resurrection, Home Blessing service was offered in several households in the village, and the bread, salt, and water were blessed—as a symbol of protection against evil and affirming the Christian faith within the families.
