Hovhannes Hambardzumyan’s concert dedicated to the Feast of Glorious Resurrection of Jesus Christ
On April 12, 2023, the evening concert of the talented songwriter and conductor Hovhannes Hambardzumyan was held in the concert hall of the Vano Sarajishili Tbilisi State Conservatoire. The concert was dedicated to the Feast of Glorious Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The Armenian Diocese in Georgia was the sponsor and organizer of the concert.
The meaning of the concert has spiritual nature, reflected in Hovhannes Hambardzumyan’s compositions, the participant of many festivals and competitions and winner of various awards. Talented and well-known pianist Mamikon Nahapetyan, laureate of many festivals and competitions Natalya Boeva (mezzo-soprano) and clarinetist, assistant professor at Vano Sarajishili Tbilisi State Conservatoire. Dimitri Bokolishvili participated in the concert with their brilliant performances.
The concert was honored with the presence of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia Rev. Father Archimandrite Kirakos Davtyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Georgia Ashot Smbatyan, as well as diplomats of different countries, heads of the State Conservatoire, classical music specialists, public representatives.
Excellent performances of 10 compositions by musician Hambardzumyan followed each other; the composition with the verses of Tumanyan's poem dedicated to the memory of the musician’s parents was performed by Natalya Boeva.
Under the impression of a concert performed with a high artistic level and a unique melody, the audience stood and applauded for a long time, expressing their appreciation with a warm ovation.
At the conclusion of the event, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Georgia Ashot Smbatyan addressed his appreciation to the graduates of the Tbilisi State Conservatoire for performing the concert at a high level, creating a wonderful mood, and handed over certificates of honor by the Embassy to the famous musicians Hovhannes Hambardzumyan and Mamikon Nahapetyan.
