New Year's Party at St. Moses of Khoren Preschool
In just a few days, 2024 will pass into history, making way for 2025. Across the globe, people are preparing to welcome the New Year, an event especially children eagerly anticipate.
On December 25, 2024, the festively decorated hall of the Hayartun Center was filled with the Center's officials, diocesan employees, parents, and guests. Among those present was Rev. Father Samvel Torosyan.
After the Lord's Prayer, Eugenia Markosyan, Head of the Education Department of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia and Director of the "Hayartun" Center, conveyed the blessings and good wishes of His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. She emphasized the significance of hosting the celebration as a reporting event for the St. Moses of Khoren preschool and passed the floor to the preschool students.
With the help of their teachers and support from their parents, the students welcomed the New Year in the "forest." The "animals," transformed into various characters, hosted last year's Santa Claus and the child representing the New Year. The children delighted Santa Claus and the New Year's child with songs, dances, recitations, and games. As always, Santa Claus rewarded them with beautiful gifts.
This year's New Year's celebration was full of surprises. The preschool students received as a gift an illustrated collection of fairy tales by Hovhannes Tumanyan, recently published by the "Actual Art" publishing house. The gift was made possible through the initiative of the Hovhannes Tumanyan House Center of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, with support from the Diocesan Headquarters. Samvel Poghosyan, godfather of the cross of the Cathedral of St. George, also presented the children with soft toys and sweets.
The preschool students were delighted by the hospitality and gifts provided by the international company McDonald's.
The teaching staff, parents, and students of the St. Moses of Khoren preschool of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia express their sincere gratitude to His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocesein Georgia; Hovhannes Tumanyan House Center for Science and Culture; Samvel Poghosyan, godfather of the church cross; and the management of McDonald's International Company for making the New Year's celebration joyful and unforgettable.
