Primate of Armenian Diocese in Georgia Attends the Re-consecration of Armenian Church in Bucharest
On November 8, 2025, His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, departed for Bucharest. At the invitation of His Grace Bishop Tatev Hakobyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Romania, and with the blessing of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, the Bishop will participate on November 9 in the re-consecration ceremony of the Holy Archangels Armenian Church in Bucharest, the cathedral of the Armenian Diocese in Romania.

The Armenian Diocese in Romania is one of the dioceses under the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, representing the spiritual life of the Armenian community in Romania. It was established during the existence of the Kingdom of Romania in 1931. The Holy Archangels Armenian Cathedral in Bucharest was built between 1911 and 1915 on the site of a church originally founded in 1638.
