Primate of Armenian Diocese in Georgia Meets with Patriarch of Romania

On November 8, during his visit to Bucharest, His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, as member of the delegation from the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, had a meeting with His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church.

The Patriarch, through His Grace Bishop Tatev Hakobyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Romania, congratulated the Armenian community on the occasion of the re-consecration of the Holy Archangels Cathedral, the diocesan cathedral of the Romanian Armenian Diocese.

During the conversation, the long-standing Armenian-Romanian relations were appreciated, and discussions focused on further deepening and strengthening the traditional friendly and spiritual ties between the two Christian churches.

Patriarch Daniel emphasized the importance of organizing mutual pilgrimages to enhance the faithful's familiarity with the Christian holy sites of both Romania and Armenia.

The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
