The October 27, 2019 was a really festive day at the "Saint Gregory of Narek" Center in Rustavi, Armenian Diocese in Georgia. Due to the efforts of the Center's students the Feast of Holy Translators was solemnly celebrated. The event was honored with the presence of the Vicar of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, Rev. Father Kirakos Davtyan. This was the first visit of the Vicar to the Center in Rustavi.
The Head and Spiritual Superintendant of the "Saint Gregory of Narek" Center, Rev. Father Narek Ghushchyan welcomed the Vicar, toured the Center with him, presented the purpose and functions of the Center’s activities, emphasized that Divine Liturgy is celebrated every Sunday in front of Vemkar (the rock at the bottom of the Altar) and the Liturgy is attended by the Armenian community of Rustavi.
At the artistic part of the event, the students of the Center's Sunday school performed. Although the students study in foreign language schools, due to the efforts of the newly appointed Armenian language teacher Ani Minasyan, during a short period of time, they have overcome the difficulty of learning the literacy and recited in their native language at the event. Students of the Center's song, dance and instrumental groups made the event more beautiful with their performances.
At the end of the event, the Vicar of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia offered his blessings to the attendees and expressed his appreciation. Rev. Father highly appreciated the Center's activity based on love towards the church and maintenance of Armenian values and implemented by the personnel and volunteers who gathered around the one idea, headed by Rev. Father Narek.
The Vicar was accompanied by the Head of the "Hayartun" Center Eugenia Markosyan, Director of Administrative and Economic Department of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia Karen Yeritsyan.
