The Feast of the Glorious Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ at the Armenian Diocese in Georgia

On April 12, 2020, the Armenian faithful of Tbilisi took part in the ceremonies on the occasion of the Feast of the Glorious Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ in courtyards of the Cathedral of St. George and St. Etchmiadzin church in Avlabari, where they prayed and listened to the Divine Liturgy through loudspeakers.

Diplomats of RA Embassy in Georgia Artak Grabskiy and Harutyun Hayrapetyan, as well as editor of ''Vrastan'' (''Georgia'') newsletter Van Bayburdyan were among the faithful in the courtyard of St. George church.

The Divine Service and the Blessing of the Four Corners of the Earth (Andastan) were offered in the church. Afterwards, on the occasion of the Feast of the Glorious Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Vicar of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, Rev. Father Archimandrite Kirakos Davtyan celebrated Divine Liturgy.

During the Divine Liturgy, the celebrant Rev. Father read the message of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenian on the occasion of the Easter Feast.

Afterwards, the kneeling faithful in courtyard of the church took part in the Sacrament of Penance, then, those present entered the church one by one, as it had been instructed, and received Holy Communion.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the Diocesan Vicar congratulated the faithful on the occasion of the Easter Feast, as on the occasion of the triumph of good over the evil and light over darkness.

On Monday, Requiem Service will be offered in churches.
