The leaders of the Armenian Evangelical Church visited the Headquarters of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia
On May 29, 2019, the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan received Zaven Khanjian, Executive Director of the Union of Armenian Evangelical Church in America with his spouse and the President of the Union of Armenian Evangelical Churches in Eurasia Rene Levonyan in the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi.
Welcoming the guests the Diocesan Primate resented the historical past and present mission of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia.
The guests expressed their gratitude to His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan for the warm reception, detailed information about the Armenians in Georgia and expressed their desire for further cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, Bishop Vazegn prayed with the guests and sang hymns and psalms in the Cathedral of Saint George.
Rev. Father Kirakos Simonyan, Pastor of the Cathedral of Saint George of the Armenian Diocese and Karen Khachatryan, Pastor of the Armenian Evangelical Church in Georgia participated in the meeting.
On the same day, the guests visited the "House of Hovhannes Tumanyan" Center for Science and Culture and paid tribute to the memory of the great Armenian poet.
