Candlelight Divine Liturgy at St. Astvatsatsin Church in Shahumyan and Srbots Avetaranchats Chapel in Karmir Village

On April 19, 2025, on Holy Saturday, with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, Rev. Father Hovsep Harutyunyan, pastor of the Armenians from Marneuli and Rustavi and the head of the “St. Gregory of Narek” (Surb Grigor Narekatsi) spiritual, educational, cultural and youth center in Rustavi, visited Shahumyan town and Karmir village in the Marneuli region. Rev. Father Hovsep, accompanied by the deacon Gevorg Avetisyan and the tbir Raffi Gasparyan, celebrated Candlelight Divine Liturgy in Shahumyan's St. Astvatsatsin  (Holy Mother of God) church and in Srbots Avetaranchats (Holy Evangelists) chapel in Karmir village. The celebrant announced the good news of the Holy Resurrection of Jesus Christ to the faithful and conveyed the congratulations of the Diocesan Primate.

The guests who arrived from Tbilisi also attended the Easter event organized by the students of Shahumyan Public School No. 1 (principal: Julietta Saghatelyan).
