''Hayartun'' Center participated in celebration of Armenian Army Day in Berdavan
On January 26, 2020, the 28th anniversary of Armenian Army was solemnly celebrated in the palace of culture of Berdavan village, Tavush province, RA. The hall was full of spectators. The concert was honored with the presence of His Grace Bishop Bagrat Galstyan, Primate of the Diocese of Tavush; in attendance was governor of Tavush Hayk Chobanyan. The event was honored with the presence of the officials of the province, brave solders and servicemen who protects the borders of the Motherland. ''Hayartun'' Center of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia with its artistic groups took part in the event.
The head of the delegation of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, director of Youth Department of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia Rev. Father Tatev Marukyan delivered a speech on the occasion of Armenian soldier’s festive day. Rev. Father conveyed the blessings and congratulations of Vicar of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, Rev. Father Archimandrite Kirakos Davtyan to Armenian soldiers who carefully protect the borders of Homeland. Rev. Father Tatev spoke about Berdava village which is located just 500 meters far from the border; about its heroic villagers who not only bravely defend the borders of Motherland, but also commemorates the heroic history, patriotic culture and glorious victories of Armenians soldiers. Rev. Father Tatev conveyed an icon as a gift on the occasion of the holiday to the border unit with his fatherly wishes to them to have a safe service and return to their families.
Performances of Berdavan's and ''Hayartun'' Center's (Director Eugenia Markosyan) ''Taron'' dance ensemble (Director of Department of Culture and choreographer Suren Abramyan), soloist Aida Bazoyan, duduk and dhol group (teachers Ivane Mkrtchyan and Robert Kashavanidze) spread in the palace of culture and joyful songs, dances and recitations filled the atmosphere with noble feelings of patriotism, statehood and faith.
At the conclusion of the event, His Grace Bishop Bagrat Galstyan, Primate of the Diocese of Tavush offered his blessings and appreciated the beautiful event dedicated to the Armenian Army Day, as well as the work done by organizers, participants, and guests' speeches. His Grace congratulated all servicemen on the occasion of the holiday and wished them safe service.
The event was ended with songs performed by Davit Amaryan and Arsen Grigoryan (Mro) and a round dance which became a symbol of the unity of people, their support for each other and steadfastness.
