May we pray to seek salvation from the disease
On February 27, 2020, after the Evening Service, under the presidency of the Vicar of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, Rev. Father Archimandrite Kirakos Davtyan and with the participation of deacons, a joint prayer was offered and those present prayed asking Almighty God to save and protect from worldwide disease.
At the conclusion of the prayer, the Diocesan Vicar made a speech. Rev. Father reminded about the similar diseases that had happened in the past, and urged the faithful to rely on Almighty God, and without panic to resist the present hardship with power of faith and to live in hope of salvation.
It should be reminded that a case of coronavirus has been recorded in Georgia. According to the World Health Organization, coronavirus infection cases were recorded in 37 countries (besides of China) and the number of people infected with coronavirus is 2, 918, and the number of people who have died from the disease is 43.
