Meditation Prayer: Joint prayer at Saint George Cathedral in Tbilisi

On April 16, 2025, under the presidency of His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, a Meditation Prayer Service was offered at the Cathedral of Saint George of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia.
This year, the ceremony was held on the third day of Holy Week—Wednesday.
The faithful present listened to the reading of psalms and prayers by priests, deacons, and tbirs (clerks).
The speech of Rev. Father Husik Harutyunyan, priest of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, addressed to the faithful, was thought-provoking. Referring to the suffering and torment endured by Jesus Christ during Holy Week, he urged everyone to remain faithful to our God and to the commandments of Jesus Christ, to love one another, to be devoted to our homeland, to cherish our nation, and to live by our faith.
Kneeling in deep contemplation, the faithful reflected in solemn silence on the words of Rev. Father Husik. Each, in their own heart, offered a prayer to God—pleading for peace for the nations, freedom for prisoners of war, the safe return of the displaced to their homes, and days of prosperity for all people.
The meditation was graced by the choir’s soulful singing and concluded with a blessing and prayer from the clergy.
