The visit of the majoritarian MP candidate of Isani district to Saint George church
On September 2, 2021, within the framework of the self-government pre-election campaign, acting gamgebeli (governor) of Isani district, majoritarian MP candidate Kakhaber Labuchidze visited the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi.
Kakhaber Labuchidze, who was visiting not for the first time both the Cathedral of Saint George and Saint Etchmiadzin church in Avlabari of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, attended various events at the ''Hayartun'' Center, decided to have a meeting with the Diocesan Primate, listen to the Armenian faithful and their issues of concern.
During the conversation between the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, Rev. Father Archimandrite Kirakos Davtyan and the MP candidate the issues of the Diocesan life of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, construction and renovation works, restrictions on church ceremonies, the difficulties which had come up, as well as the difficulties country faced due to the Covid-19 pandemic were touched upon.
The Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia offered his blessings to the MP candidate and wished him success in the upcoming elections. Kakhaber Labuchidze's visit to the Armenian Cathedral concluded with paying tribute at the monument of Sayat Nova who is buried in the church courtyard.
