Young Armenians from Georgia Participating in Courses at Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

With the blessing and support of His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, Anna Mkrtichyan from Saint George Cathedral in Tbilisi, as well as Lana Yeranosyan and Ani Khachoyan from the Saint Savior Church in Batumi are included in the "Armenian Identity" program initiated by the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
Together with thirty other young participants from Russia, various U.S. states, Brazil, Austria, and other countries, the young Armenians from Georgia are taking part in the three-week course. They attend morning and evening services, study Armenian language and literature, and, under the leadership of His Grace Bishop Vahan Hovhannisyan, take classes on the history of religion, the canons of the Armenian Apostolic Church, and the history of the Armenian people. They also go on pilgrimages to sacred sites throughout Armenia. At the Hayordyats Tun (Youth Center), the participants engage in workshops on traditional Armenian song, dance, musical instruments, painting, and visual arts.
At the conclusion of the course, the young Armenians from Diaspora will return to their respective countries spiritually renewed, after meeting with His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, and receiving his blessing. They will begin implementing the planned programs, driven by a sense of responsibility and a readiness to put into practice the teachings they received during the three-week course, led by the Rev. Father Vazgen Karapetyan.
