St. Gregory the Illuminator church was built in 1847 (on the church’s lintel 1847 YEAR is engraved).

It is a stone-built, wooden structure․

In recent times it was standing but showing signs of deterioration. It had a perimeter fence.

The old cemetery spreads across the village.

Many roughly hewn and unhewn tombstones and several ram-shaped tombstones have been preserved at the site. There are two tombstones with Georgian inscriptions and one tombstone with Armenian inscriptions.

St. Gregory the Illuminator church in Goman was reconstructed with Ruben and Davit Bandikyans’ donations. It was consecrated on October 21, 2023, by His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan and with the participation of Rev. Father Archimandrite Nshan Hmayakyan, Rev. Father Tadeos Ter-Mkrtchyan, Rev. Father Narek Tigranyan.
